Flights at MIA
Plan your time at MIA: finding your terminal, onward transport and practical airport services.
Terminals & connections
Level 1: Domestic baggage claim and international arrivals through D and E. Some check-in counters are exceptions to the main Level 2 arrangement; follow your airline’s instructions. Level 2: The main ticketing and security-checkpoint frontage. Use your airline and gate assignment to find the correct concourse. Level 3: Interterminal moving walkways, international arrivals through J, and access to the MIA Mover station between Dolphin and Flamingo garages.
Your airline’s current gate and departure instructions take precedence over this guide.
Rail, bus & rental cars
The MIA Mover connects the terminal with the Rental Car Center. Access is on level 3, between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages.
Continue to the Miami Intermodal Center for Metrorail, Tri-Rail and bus connections. Metrorail’s Orange Line serves downtown Miami and Brickell; Tri-Rail connects Miami with Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Check the operator information linked by MIA before traveling.
Parking & pickup
Choose a garage by concourse: Dolphin for D–E, Flamingo for E–J, or Ibis for H–J. Check your airline’s terminal before parking.
Picking someone up? MIA’s cell-phone waiting lot is near LeJeune Road and NW 31 Street. It is intended for private vehicles waiting for arriving passengers. Follow the parking guide for access, rates and current restrictions.
Accessibility & assistance
Arrange wheelchair assistance directly with your airline before traveling. MIA’s accessibility guide also covers navigation support and facilities inside the terminal.
MIA’s voluntary Sunflower lanyard helps staff recognize travelers who may need more time or assistance. It does not provide priority access or let you skip queues.
Restaurants & shops
Find food and drink by terminal in our Miami dining guide. Check which side of security a location is on before making a detour.
