The Orange Line, the overnight bus, and the route to the other Chicago airport.
The Orange Line
Chicago's 'L' runs from Midway into the Loop on elevated track, and the airport calls it the easiest and most affordable way in from downtown. Trains run from about 4:00 or 4:30 in the morning until roughly 1 a.m., more often at weekday rush hours.
Overnight
Overnight the trains stop and the N62 Archer bus covers the gap. Pace buses serve the suburbs.
To O'Hare
Chicago runs two airports and Midway publishes the route between them. Take the Orange Line from Midway to Clark/Lake downtown, transfer free of charge to the Blue Line, and ride it to O'Hare. Midway says to allow up to two hours. A shared-ride taxi is the other option, at $35 a person.
