Which half of the building you need, which floor, and why the United States gates work differently.
Two terminals, one roof
Calgary has two terminals. The Domestic Terminal holds Concourses A, B and C, for flights within Canada, and the International Terminal holds the D and E gates. There is no train inside the airport; an electric cart runs along the connection corridor for anyone who needs help with the walk.

Which floor you want
Each terminal has a Departures level and an Arrivals level, and the Domestic Terminal adds a mezzanine by its food court. Past security, the International Terminal divides into the International Departures hall for the D gates and the U.S. Departures hall for the E gates.

The United States gates
Flights to the United States leave from the E gates, in the U.S. Departures hall, because you clear American customs here in Calgary before boarding.
Allow for clearing American customs in Calgary rather than on landing, and note that its checkpoint closes at 20:00.
